The Public Schools Preceptory, No. 209
was consecrated by the Most Eminent and Supreme Pro Grand Master Richard Loveland Loveland, KC, GCC at the Masonic Hall, 10 Duke Street,
St James's, London SW1 on Wednesday, 10th December 1919.
Our first Preceptor was the Very Illustrious and Eminent Knight Colonel Charles Warren Napier-Clavering, GCT, Great Seneschal,
who had been educated at Repton School.
Membership
Membership of the Order of the Temple is open to all Royal Arch Masons who profess the Trinitarian Christian Faith.
In order to qualify for membership of the Public Schools Preceptory, one must additionally be a member of a
Public School lodge.
The Order
The Masonic Order of Knights Templar and Malta is based on the customs of the mediaeval predecessors. However, there is no direct link with that Order. |
